Dr. Schirmer

Dr. Paul Schirmer -- Dr. Schirmer has been in practice since 1994.  He is board certified as a chiropractor and physical therapist in Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Dr. Schirmer is the director of HealthFIRST Rehab & Wellness Center with three clinic locations in Chesapeake, Newport News, and Western Branch.       

The "Doc"(as everyone knows him) is a life long Athlete and has chosen to affiliate his clinics with Super Gold’s Gym where both of his offices are located. This perfect synergy with Gold’s Gym sets him apart from main stream chiropractors and physical therapists by allowing him to have a full spectrum of health along with fitness treatment plans that utilizes state of the art equipment.  Dr Schirmer utilizes various techniques and procedures that are used to treat spinal conditions and selects the most effective treatment for each individual patient. His ability to heal comes from careful listening, examining, and evaluating patients to achieve a specific goal. Because he has this strong background he has a wide range of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics which validates his ability to be so versatile.

Dr. Schirmer is a 1994 graduate of Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Schirmer practices Posture Analysis correction for sports injuries along with physiological therapeutics. 

He completed his under graduate schooling @ St Leo's in Tampa Fla.

Originally from NJ were he attended Seton hall Preparatory School, he is the youngest of nine, and his father, also in the medical field, was a prominent Ob-Gyn delivering over 14,000 children.  Dr. Schirmer learned and mastered his love of patients from his Dad; it was just a part of growing up. Patients always came first especially in the Schirmer home.

He now resides in Moyock, NC with his wife Tracy and their four children, Caitlin, Patrick, Jack and Conor.  When he is not healing and caring for his patients he is an avid boater and fisherman. He loves the peaceful Currituck Sound and the life he has been so blessed to enjoy.
